Hi, I’m Katy,
a designer and storyteller who creates experiences at the intersection of story, place, and people—crafting environments that spark wonder, invite reflection, and inspire connection.
I specialize in audience engagement and transforming thematic content into narrative-rich experiences.
With a background in Media Arts, Documentary Film, and Exhibit Design, I’ve partnered with NASA, the Smithsonian, and Google Xi to create experiences that inspire curiosity, foster belonging, and spark engagement. I led the design for NASA’s Artemis Exhibit at San Diego Comic-Con, where thousands connected with the story of space exploration through interactive storytelling. My work spans public institutions, creative agencies, and corporate innovation labs.
Rooted in audience listening, creative strategy, and playful experimentation, I believe in the power of intentional design—where sensory experiences and thoughtful narratives invite deeper connection and discovery.
Beyond my work, I’m a mom to River and an aunt to five nieces and nephews. Watching them explore the world makes me think about how we shape experiences—not just for today, but for the future. How will they navigate spaces? What will spark their curiosity and connection? These questions drive me to design with greater intention, ensuring experiences are not just engaging but accessible and meaningful.
